About 200 attendees arrived at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee, WI (near Milwaukee, WI) to meet and share ideas and their experiences with other Infor LX, Infor XA, and System 21 Users.

Tuesday started early with a continental breakfast at 7:00 am, followed by a rousing keynote speaker, Dr. Doug Fisher, giving us all “A Supply Chain Perspective. His presentation was current and pertinent, with a high level of detail and analytics.
A total of 36 breakout sessions were available for attendees, covering all aspects of IBMi technology and Infor LX, Infor XA, and System 21 ERP software. In addition, VIRTUTEM hosted a Customer Success session featuring T. Hasegawa. Nasser Dastmalchi, VP of IT at T Hasegawa USA, and Ron Smith demonstrated the solution developed by VIRTUTEM that reduces the customer order entry process from 12 screens to just one screen incorporating information and links to many other Infor and 3rd party programs. The solution was achieved with zero (0) modifications to the Infor LX programs. This impact is an 80% reduction in the time it takes customer service representatives to enter customer orders while reducing downstream error rates by over 50%. This session was entitled “LX Order Entry of the Future, NOW”.
At about 5:00 pm we departed by buses to visit the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI for a night of revelry and fun. Following a great meal and a self-guided tour of the museum, we saw about 200 Harley Davidson motorcycles dating from 1906 through 2022 on display. We saw all kinds, shapes, and sizes of motorcycles, along with HD club info, accessories, and apparel. All this, was followed by an outstanding local band that played all types of music genres from the 1960’s thru today. The band stopped playing at 11:00 pm, followed by a 30-minute bus ride back to the hotel.

We had breakfast at 7:00 am followed by 67 breakout sessions. VIRTUTEM conducted two sessions. The first one was on “How to Configure the LX Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) Module, and the second was “DRP Optimization and Execution Process,” where we went through a use case from an actual DRP implementation. Additionally, VIRTUTEM helped conduct a round-table discussion on “How to prepare for an LX upgrade.”
The conference ended officially at 3:40 pm, even though many stayed to renew old friendships and associations. It was fun exchanging our old “war stories” about the glory days.
VIRTUTEM contributed to this very successful conference by being a sponsor, working on the LX Board and Conference Board, and making the 3 presentations during the conference. In addition, VIRTUTEM attendees were Alwyn Francis, CEO; Ron Smith, Consulting Director; and DeeDee Vergei, Senior LX Consultant.
All had a great time, and most attendees will be glad to get back home and catch up on some much-needed sleep and work.
We look forward to seeing you at next year’s conference.
